CHCI Fellowship Program Position Description
The CHCI fellowship is a rewarding opportunity to put academic study to real life practice. The fellowship assignment will give participants the opportunity to work on challenging projects focused on human capital management and revitalizing the federal workforce. Fellows will conduct research related to public policy and the enhancement of CHCI’s human capital best practices library. Each project assignment will be determined by the individual's background and interests. Fellows can expect to interact with current and retired senior government officials, congressional staff members, and others who are focused on improving the federal civil service. The fellowship offers challenging and rewarding work that provides exposure to public service while building skills and experience.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Applicants must be currently enrolled or recent graduates of an accredited graduate school program.
- Applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0-point scale.
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens or hold permanent resident status. No age restrictions exist.
Evaluation and Selection:
The selection of applicants will be based on applicant’s academic performance, phone or in-person interview and recommendations. Selection will be made by the CHCI Executive Committee.
Stipend:
A stipend will be provided. At the successful conclusion of the fellowship, participants may be considered for permanent employment with CHCI.
